NEW HEAD COACH-Josh Holley
We are excited to introduce our new head coach Josh Holley! He has been coaching for over six years.He comes from a club swimming background and is currently developing a program up north in Broomfield to pave the way for a new club team in the future. He also coaches the Highlands Ranch High School boys swim team who have been one of the best high school teams in the state for the past five years. At the summer league level he coached for the team he swam for when he was young. He also coached masters for the past four years.

WELCOME TO THE GENESEE SWIM TEAM WEBSITE!
SWIM TEAM KICK-OFF BARBEQUE is Sunday, May 27th from 5:00 PM - 8:00pm at Vista Clubhouse (24425 West Currant Drive). All 2012 members please join us in celebrating the start of a fun summer swim season! Kids, remember to bring your swim suits and towels because the pool will be open, weather permitting. We can't wait to see all of you!

If you still need to order a swim suit please contact Barb @ High Point Swim #303-545-2090. We are using the same suit as last year so if you need to figure out your size find a friend who has a suit that may let you try it on for size.

PARENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
We all know that it is the parents that make this team run! We are always looking for volunteers to take charge of some of the key activities this summer. Please let us know if you are willing to take the lead and plan any of the following swim team activities:
Kick-Off BBQ, Team Pictures, Team Gear, Swimmer Breakfasts, Tuesday Night Stroke Clinics, Thursday Night Team Socials, Water World, July 4th Bake Sale, July 4th Games, Swim-A-Thon, Awards Banquet

May 3rd-Swim Suit Fitting at Oxley
May 21st-After School Practice Begins Monday through Thursday 4:30-6:00pm
May 27th-Family Kick-off BBQ at Vista from 5:00-7:00pm (pool will be open weather permitting)
May 29th-Evening Practices Start Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00-8:30pm
June 1st-Morning Practice Begins:
13 and up 7:15-8:30 Monday-Thursday and 8:00-9:15 Friday
9-12 8:15-9:30 Monday-Thursday and 8:00-9:15 Friday
8 and under 9:15-10:00 Monday -Friday

The Genesee Mountain Thunder swim team consists of children ages 5-18 who practice daily at the Foothills neighborhood pool in the beautiful Genesee mountains of Golden. We are part of the Foothills Swim Association (FSA) and participate in organized summer swim meets with other FSA teams in Jefferson County from Memorial Day through the end of July. We have been active with FSA swimming for over 30 years.
Genesee Mountain Thunder, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization, was established solely to provide children in Genesee and the surrounding communities with the opportunity to develop their swimming skills, to promote good sportsmanship in competitive aquatics, and to encourage exercise and build character in a fun summer team environment.
The swim team is run by a volunteer parent board.
We swim at the Foothills Pool Genesee, located at 1985 Foothills Drive South in Genesee.
